What can you say about the Washington section of the PCT? It was some of the most scenic terrain of the trail, and by way of circumstance, some of the most tumultuous in terms of my thoughts and emotions while hiking it.The final steps toward the end of this journey taught me more than I ever could have hoped to learn on this hike, and reshaped the landscape of my interior world in a way that more closely resembles the natural state of things. To paraphrase old Johnny Muir: I went to mountains, lost my mind, and found my soul.
