Melanie “Mel” Hoehne is a positive force of nature who has, what author Carol S. Dweck would call, a growth mindset. Originally from Germany, Mel began her journey with Younique a few years after moving to Sydney, Australia, knowing Younique was eventually going to launch in her hometown. Mel had a career as a teacher, but after her two sons were born, her mindset changed, and she wanted to find something she could do to earn money but be able to continue spending time with her family. Having no idea where her Younique journey would lead her, Mel soldiered ahead, acted as a leader would, and proactively started to prepare for Younique’s launch in Germany. Mel has grown a beautiful empire with passion, love and true commitment that began with a decision to better herself, her confidence, and have the freedom to spend time with those she loves most. Mel’s growth mindset allowed her to know that failure doesn’t define a person, but it can help one learn, refocus, and come out stronger. As Mel says, “Don’t overthink, just take it and run.” Listen to the Younique Empower Hour to hear her (and others) empowering story.

Shawn “Jane-of-all-Trades” Nelson is really quite a legend. This hard-working, ambitious and dedicated woman is the epitome of making time for priorities in her life. Shawn is a service-minded, loving individual with many skills/talents under her hat; nurse, ice-carver, Reiki Level 2 Healer are just a few. Younique was just an addition to her already insane daily schedule, but she built her Younique business into the empire that it is today by gaining focus and eliminating the excess in her life. She didn’t let struggles get in the way of her path to success. She took those struggles and learned to be grateful for them to help her become the person she is today. In her own words, “Gratitude is the basis of everything. Be real and be yourself, unapologetically.” Get ready for a boost of inspiration and determination with this amazing podcast.
