I used to see women who were wildly successful in their businesses share their manifestation practices, and I would jump on the bandwagon.
When they said jump, I asked how high.
I was willing to try anything.
If they told me to put an affirmation reminder in my phone every hour, high-five the mirror, write a gratitude list, meditate, stick a crystal in my bra, scream in a cold shower and use the secret app to spend pretend money. I did it. And then when I didn't see any changes in my life, the frustration set in. Why was it working for them and not for me?
The truth was that, it worked for them because it is what felt really good to them. But for me it was just a task to check off on my to-do list. I often felt their practices were too long, and it was taking away from me actually getting the stuff done that I needed to.
When I finally understood why it worked for them (and why it wasn't working for me), it allowed the rebel in me to create a routine or daily practice that felt really good for me. I finally understood that the whole purpose of doing these "things" was to raise my vibration to one of joy, while setting a clear intention of what I desired.
THEN, I made the aligned moves.
In this episode I explain why these practices work for others, and how you can create your own rituals to achieve success.
