Ok we need a hard reset. All this talk about "best self" creates a static standard of behavior, emotional well-being, and effort that literally cannot be achieved. It's time we take a look at our "best self" as a fluid process rather than a destination of perfection. One day, your best self is going to do ALL the things, feel SUPER great about life and win the day! The next day, your best self may need a nap and a good cry! So long as we're staying connected to the Father and committed to the journey of being conformed into the image of Jesus, our "best" can shift.
