Your Bloodline Is Christ, Not Your Ancestors

Listen Later

The moment you came into Christ, your bloodline changed. You were not refurbished or renovated. You became a new creature, born of incorruptible seed, son-named by the Father, carrying his family name: I AM.

This discussion dismantles the theological error that turns Psalm 11:3 into a license for generational curse theology. The argument is precise: that framework only makes sense if God still relates to his people through ancestral lineage, as he did in the Old Testament, where he was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But Christ closed that distance permanently. There is no longer a father standing between you and God. You are in Christ, and Christ is seated with the Father, which means the Adamic family line has no claim on you. The teaching then moves into the three things every believer must believe, using John 3:16 as the framework, and establishes that love is not incidental to the finished work. It is the engine of it. A lack of understanding of God's love at work is precisely what sends sons into religious effort, trying to complete what the Father has already finished.
