What’s your hypothalamus, what’s it do, and how valuable is it to in menopause? However, I wouldn’t run off and find a university exercise clinic that does it and think this is going to be awesome. Very few adults can actually be comfortable enough epeling all the air from their lungs while underwater to get an accurate reading. How? If you're either extremely fit or frail it is going to be off. For me it was off by 5%. I have more muscle than most and less fat.  (Knowing numbers is important, however, if you have a Smart Scale consistently showing change, you have all you need. I will say, for me this was not within the 3-5% of accuracy range you hope is true for a body composition test, compared to 2-3% range with 2 other calibrated measures consistently).  If you do use this method to PRE-test, then use the same method (same time of day and same hydration and exercise status) to POST-test. My actual body composition confirmed from InBody Smart Scale (home) and InBody Industrial model and Dexa scans (21-22%). Compared to the Navy calculation:  Get STARTED!
