Your Calling Is Waiting — Red Church

Listen Later

In Red Church today, Joseph Z analyzes the lifecycle of movements, outlining the stages from birth to decline. He emphasizes the importance of the "spirit of Elijah" in sustaining movements by exchanging wisdom and strength across generations.

Joseph explains that every movement goes through a series of stages, starting with a birth stage, moving to a growth stage, reaching maturity, and eventually entering decline. He notes that the growth stage can last approximately twenty years, during which a period of revelation gradually leads to development until it peaks, or reaches its final frontier, marking the beginning of decline. He clarifies that one can tell when a movement has entered its final stage when conversations shift more toward the past rather than the future. At this point, the movement tends to become institutionalized.

He discusses how to avoid decline, emphasizing that the "spirit of Elijah" is essential for maintaining a movement. He references Proverbs 20:28-29 to show that sharing wisdom and strength across generations is crucial for sustaining a movement and preventing decline. He states that the older generation must pass wisdom to the younger, while the younger bring their strength to the table. This exchange of wisdom and strength helps sustain a legacy.

He also reveals that the anointing of God destroys the yoke and that this anointing involves growth, maturity, and development in Jesus. When we commit to God's word and His work, we begin to experience freedom from burdens in a thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold. He reassures us that delay is not denial; often, when we don't get what we want, it's because God is protecting us from potential dangers. He discusses our vision and purpose, noting that the struggles we face in pursuing goals are periods of transitional grace. During these times, we are called to walk in faith and patience until we reach where God wants us to be.

Joseph then urges us to stay true to our God-given call, regardless of distractions. He encourages serving others while seeking clarity on our own purpose, as this can lead to discovering our true calling. Additionally, he reminds us of his prophecy about redemptive instability, affirming that the church acts as a shield against nuclear and economic crises. He then shares that the church will go into unexpected places to spread the message, urging us to rise to the occasion of what God has called us to do.
