Are you worried about your future? Perhaps you aren’t sure what college you’re going to get into. Or you’re in between jobs and aren’t sure what’s next. Perhaps you’re single and wondering if you might marry.
As a young man, I too wondered what the future would hold. And then one door opened after another. The dreams and vision laid on my heart happened one step at a time. I met an American “by accident.” He invited me to the USA for a one-year grad course in Bible at Multnomah Bible College. There I met my wife, Pat Scofield. From there we went as missionaries and then we preached to nation after nation.
If you are worried about your future today, know that God holds your future in His hands. God’s Word tells us that the Lord has plans for us - for a future and a hope, in Jeremiah 29. We are told that He knows all our days before we’re even born. And the Lord Jesus tells us that we need not worry about tomorrow. If you are anxious today, go to God in prayer. He will give you “peace that passes understanding” (Phil. 4:4). And if you know a friend who is worrying, share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Good News that a loving God in heaven has a plan for their future on earth as well as in heaven.
