Today, Pastor Peter Eng urged us to put on the helmet of salvation from Ephesians 6:10-20 and to actively engage in spiritual warfare. The devil targets our salvation in three critical ways—past, present, and future.

•Hold fast to your past salvation (justification). You are already saved from the penalty of sin; don’t let doubt steal your assurance.

•Work out your present salvation (sanctification). Continually battle against the power of sin and grow in holiness every day.

•Fix your eyes on your future salvation (glorification). Hold on to the promise that one day you will be free from the presence of sin, living in eternal glory with Christ.

Stand firm in your faith, guard your heart and mind, and take confidence in God’s eternal promise!
