Some days just don't go the way we planned.
A few unexpected problems, a growing to-do list, and suddenly it feels like all of your momentum has disappeared. We've all been there.
In this episode of Your Inner Economy, we explore what to do when you're having one of those days—the kind where nothing catastrophic happens, but everything starts to feel heavy. We'll talk about why overwhelm can drain your attention and energy, how to avoid letting one difficult day become a difficult week, and practical ways to gently reset without expecting perfection.
Because managing your inner economy isn't about never having hard days—it's about learning how to recover from them with grace.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or simply "off," I hope this conversation reminds you that one difficult day does not define your progress.
Thanks for spending some time with me today.
Until next time, take care of your inner economy

Have you ever walked into a room and forgotten why you were there? Lost your train of thought in the middle of a conversation? Or felt like your brain simply couldn't hold onto one more thing?
In this episode of Your Inner Economy, we explore one of our most important mental resources: working memory.
We'll break down the difference between long-term memory, short-term memory, and working memory using simple, everyday examples, and discuss why working memory often feels overloaded in our fast-paced world.
More importantly, we'll explore how gentle systems can reduce the burden on your brain by moving information out of your head and into reliable external supports. Because the goal isn't to remember everything—it's to steward your attention and mental resources wisely.
If you've ever wondered why you forget things even though you're intelligent and capable, this episode will help you better understand how your mind works and what you can do to support it.

We've all seen the videos. Someone gets told "no" by a manager, a police officer, or an employee who's simply enforcing the rules—and suddenly everything spirals. In this video, I share practical ways to stay calm, think clearly, and handle those moments without making your situation worse. My goal is simple: I want you to win. Sometimes winning, anyway means getting home safely, keeping your job, not catching a charge and making sure one emotional moment doesn't create long-term consequences.

In this episode of Your Inner Economy, I explore what I call The Sovereignty Shift: the moment we begin taking ownership of our most valuable internal resources—our attention, energy, focus, and capacity.
We allow distractions, obligations, expectations, and old patterns of thinking to quietly consume the very resources needed to pursue what matters most.
A sovereignty shift happens when we begin to recognize that our attention and energy are finite resources worthy of stewardship.
In this conversation, we explore what it means to reclaim responsibility for our inner economy, how people-pleasing and external pressures can drain our resources, and why stewarding our attention may be one of the most important skills we can develop.
Because our lives are shaped not only by what we value, but by where we invest our attention and energy.

In this episode of Your Inner Economy, I share a recent experience that many of us can relate to—I got distracted, drifted off course, and completely missed an important virtual meeting.
What started as a simple mistake became a valuable reminder that even capable, intelligent people can lose track of what matters when their attention is stretched too thin.
In this conversation, I explore what I call "The Drift"—those moments when we slowly wander away from our intentions without realizing it. I also discuss how to recover without shame, why perfection isn't the goal, and how small systems can help us find our way back.
You'll also get an introduction to The Daily Drift Dashboard, a simple tool I use to create visual awareness, reduce mental clutter, and gently return my attention to what matters most.
Because the goal isn't to never drift.
The goal is to notice it sooner and learn how to return.

Welcome to the very first episode of Your Inner Economy.
Why do so many smart, capable people feel scattered, overwhelmed, and perpetually behind?
For years, I assumed the answer was better planning, better productivity, or simply trying harder. But the more I observed my own life—and the lives of others—the more I began to wonder if we were managing the wrong thing.
We spend a great deal of time learning how to manage money, but very little time learning how to manage our attention, energy, focus, and capacity. Yet these are the resources that shape our daily lives and determine what we're able to accomplish.
In this introductory episode, I share the ideas behind the Your Inner Economy framework and explore why managing your inner resources may be more important than managing your calendar. We'll discuss overwhelm, attention, mental clutter, and the hidden costs of living in a world that never stops demanding more of us.
If you've ever felt like you're doing your best but still can't seem to get ahead, you're not alone.
Welcome to Your Inner Economy—a conversation about managing attention, energy, and action in a distracted world.
