Oftentimes throughout our lives people find themselves disconnected from once "best" friends. It is imperative for you to pay close attention to who is currently in your close circle of friends, and take frequent inventory of who should be removed from your circle. In this episode Yvonne and Maria discuss the death of Shanquella Robinson (may she rest in peace), who lost her life on a trip to Cabo with her "friends". Please note that due to details of the story still unfolding, we do not have all of the facts of her story, so this is our viewpoint of what has been released thus far. Tune in to hear what we have to say, and get some pointers on what signs to pay attention to in your current circle.
Are there times when you get ready to do something or go somewhere and you out of nowhere have this feeling that you shouldn't go? In this episode Maria and Yvonne discuss following your first mind, and adhering to discernment that you prayed for. Oftentimes we are delayed and we don't understand why, sometimes that delay was positioned to save your life.
Do you find yourself the center of attention without asking for any at all? Why is it that you stay in your own lane, and other people misperceive who you really are? In this episode Yvonne and Maria discuss not allowing misperceptions to control you. You have to remember to be authentically you and let your light shine!
In this episode Maria and Yvonne talk about family and the holidays. Holidays should be spent with family and is the time for making memories and carrying on traditions. Are you not speaking with any of your family members over petty issues, if so, now is the time to mend those relationships and get the family back together. Don't forget to get in the kitchen and help out this year, it's time to use grandma's recipes and make the house smell like the "holiday".
In today's society gun violence has become the norm. Even our teenagers are toting guns like candy. Where are they getting them from and why aren't we coming together to try and put a stop to this. It's very sad that our children can't go to a party without it being shot up. Our community would be stronger as whole if we just came together and stop killing each other. Gun violence has to STOP!
Why is sexuality/homosexuality being forced on our children? It is way too easy for our children to be exposed to inappropriate content. I miss the days of the curtain "censors". I remember growing up and not being able to access certain things because I was underage, and those are the days I wish we can go back to. Now is the time to be mindful of what your children are exposed to and talk to them before they are miseducated by other children.
Have you set goals for yourself and have yet to achieve them? Are you so wrapped up in your spouse and child(ren)'s lives that you don't take the time to focus on your dreams and/or goals? Are you pushing your children to do what you wanted to do or are you that child doing what your parent(s) wanted you to? If any of this sounds like you, tune in to what Maria and Yvonne has to say about this. A key to remember, never lose sight of yourself and your goals because in the end you'll be unhappy and unfulfilled!
