Your Next Favourite Jam with J.A.M.

This is my chat with Hamilton, ON music legend Tom Wilson. Tom has worn many hats in his 4 plus decades in the music biz from Junkhouse to his solo work to Lee Harvey Osmond and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings. We had a great time catching up, talking tunes and building the playlist.

This is my chat with Jordan Miller from Toronto indie rock sensations the Beaches. This was recorded on June 17, 2020 for season one of the Trews Instagram Live series (link below). I met Jordan through some mutual friends a little while back and it was great to catch up with her again mid Covid lockdown. I really like her band and we generally just shoot the shit about music and of course add some jams to the playlist (link also below). Hope you dig!

This latest episode is something a little different. We had some of our biggest fans interview us! These folks support the band over on our Patreon and we had them on a Zoom call last week to ask us some questions and interact. We talk about everything from our favourite concerts to our favourite Trews songs. Season 4, Episode 2 feat. Derek Hoffman. Derek produced my bands previous release, 2018's ‘Civilianaires’, as well as a handful of tracks from our latest release ‘Wanderer’. We take a little stroll through Derek’s musical history and talk a lot about the producer/artist relationship, particularly as it pertains to our work together. It was a great chat!

The hockey episode! This episode features Ron MacLean and Tara Slone. Ron is a legend of Canadian hockey broadcasting, having co-hosted “Coach’s Corner”, alongside Don Cherry, for 38 seasons. Tara’s background is in music, having fronted the rock band "Joydrop" and as a contestant on “Rock Star : INXS”, before pivoting into broadcast. And together they currently host the show “Hometown Hockey” so I decided to feature them together on the same show, though they were recorded separately on the original show. Cheers!

This is my conversation with Cone McCaslin of Sum 41 for season 2, episode 8 of the series, recorded on September 9th of 2020. Cone is a founding member of the wildly successful punk band Sum 41. He’s also a very good pal that I go way back with. We get deep in to the punk rock weeds a little bit in this one. ENJOY!
