If you've listened to episode one of season one, titled, Chronicles of Being Ugly, you'd know colorism was an overarching theme in the reason I thought I was ugly. In this episode, I delve into how the media perpetuates a false lens through which we view other skin tones: be it by representing various stereotypes or by bashing people based on their skin color. I also didn't fail to mention the role black people (a considerable amount of dark skin men), play in this with the projection of their self-loathing mentality. So whether you've been called a gorilla because of your beautiful black skin or whether you've been cultured to think dark bones shouldn't mix because you want a 'brighter' future, this episode is for you.
