Work is often stressful. But why? Is it that your work is just more than you can handle? No – it’s just more than what your current approach to productivity can handle. I believe a poor productivity system is one of the primary causes of the stress we experience. That means becoming more intentionally productive can dramatically decrease our stress. 

Stress management strategies typically focus on the mind and relaxation. Techniques such as meditation certainly have their place in stress management, and managing your mind with such techniques is an important part of the Intentional Productivity system; but stress management attempts that ignore the other key drivers of productivity will often only have superficial effects on a person’s daily experience of stress. How you manage your tasks and time is just as important as how you manage your mind when trying to reduce stress.
