VENEZUELAAs we noted earlier today, the Trump Administration Friday night engaged in murderous, scandalous, unconstitutional action, killing approximately 40 people and kidnapping Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. Here are some of the key lies and double-standards that Trump piled atop of his previous lies re drug-running, “narco-terror”, and his claims of “saving America from drugs”.
…The US has imposed “sanctions” on Venezuela since 2005, beginning with “sanctions” against specific people, then growing to economic sectors, then almost all facets of economic interaction with Americans. This is militaristic, an act of aggression against Venezuelans and Americans.
…a reporter called out Trump’s hypocrisy for pardoning Honduran former Prez, Juan Orlando Hernandez, whom the US convicted of running hundreds of thousands of pounds (400 metric tonnes) of cocaine into the US, but claiming that Maduro, who has not had evidence presented against him for drug-trafficking, has to be, according to Trump, apprehended for “narco-terror”. …The indictment doesn’t cite the eeeevils of “fentanyl” that Trumploa told us was so genetically tied to Maduro; it claims Maduro-ties to drug groups like the Sinaloa, yet the US literally worked with that cartel for 12 years between 2000 and 2012 to give the Sinaloa an easy time in US cities, and arm the cartel in Mexico to “fight” smaller cartels. LINK The indictment also cites the Columbian drug gang FARC, claiming that Venezuela allows FARC trafficking through it. But so does the US, and so do many other nations. FARC can engage in black market ops, pay off politicians, and will continue to do so as long as there is a consumer market willing to buy.
… Then there is Trump’s DoJ trying to indict Maduro for “machine guns”, which might inspire a few people to wonder how far the gas-lighting can go, when Trump troops use weapons not limited to “machine guns” to invade another nation, commit mass murder, and kidnap people. That absurdity rests atop the fact that the 1934 Firearms Act itself it unconstitutional, and THAT rests atop the fact that, even if the Constitution were amended to allow for gun seizure in the US, or OUTSIDE the US, all state operations (i.e. activities of the polis) are premised on theft, so all statist operations are immoral.
…US claims that Maduro is not the “legit” Prez have nothing to do with the US, constitutionally. In addition to that, the claims of “legit” and “illegit” vary, from the Carter Center and UN claiming that the vote was not trustworthy, to other groups claiming that it was. If the debate over a “legit” Prez is an invitation to invasion and kidnapping, then that must mean that the UN and numerous internationally prominent EU figures, US politicians, and Canadian blowhards would support Putin taking out Zenenskyyyyyy?
… Trump claims he hates the people he calls “terrorists” - yet he just welcomed al Shaara (ne al Jolani) to the White House, and just welcomed Netanyahu. LINK

Marco Rubio: This is about a dictator who oppresses his people.

……..so, of course, the US has to engage in months of threats, then kill scores, then invade and kidnap - totally consistent.

Trump to Fox News earlier in the day: "You know, he [Maduro] wanted to negotiate at the end and I didn’t want to negotiate. I said, nope."‘
…Trump claimed that he had a long conversation with the Venezuelan VP, Delcy Rodriguez, and she said she would do “anything” Trump and the US wanted. This does not jibe with her public statements excoriating the illegal Trump attack. LINK
…As Dave DeCamp of AntiWar notes, one of the US strikes hit an apartment building, killing an 80-year-old woman, but here is Tim Pool, saying dumb things.
And here is Stephen Miller’s charming wife, Katie, targeting Greenland.
-And now, as AntiWar reports, Trump is threatening Rodriguez, the acting Prez of VZ. LINK
-And, again, Tulsi Gabbard has not resigned, has not uttered a syllable in opposition to Trump’s new criminal move, yet she was very clear about the immorality of regime change, when she spoke on Fox, circa 2019. LINK
-ANNNND the judge, Alvin K. Hellerstein, who will preside over Maduro’s case (and, likely, over any charges the US brings against Marudo’s wife) is a hardcore Zionist. He also was involved in prompting relatives of 9-11 victims to settle civil suits, rather than seeing them come to trial and discovery. Here is some key information on the 92-year-old man. LINK
-But Rubio says that since Venezuela is in “the west” it makes perfect moral and logical sense for the US to overthrow the government there. See? Makes total sense. LINK

-Finally, on the VZ front, as Congress remains, essentially, silent, save for Massie, MTG, and Rand Paul, former Senator, not National Security Guru and Sec of State Marco Rubio tells CBS that, as we all know the Constitution clearly allows, “Trump retains the ‘optionality’ to occupy VZ”. OTHER BIG NEWS STORIESISRAELThe Israeli ban on aid groups came into effect, further starving and harming the suffering, pushing them towards the doors of death. LINK
IMMIGRATION POLICE STATE-Curiously enough, Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who is running for CA Gov, threatened to revoke the driver’s licenses of ICE agents caught in the state wearing masks. Since none of the agents are supposed to enter the state without an invitation/request from the legislature or the Gov if the legislature is out of session (Per Art 4 Sec 4 of the US Constitution), they should not be there in the first place. More fundamental: immigration is not a federal “power”, so ICE should not exist. LINK
-And Marco Rubio, that great paladin of liberty and peace, has adopted the pretense to criticize EUROPE for speech crackdowns. The Europeans, and the UK, are guilty within their political halls, for sure, but RUBIO pointing at them certainly is blindingly hypocritical. He repeatedly has said that to criticize ISRAEL is “antisemitic” and “assistance to terrorists” and he can revoke students’ green cards or revoke “protective” migration allowances any time he wants if he doesn’t like what people say. He has claimed for his government the power to scour social media going back years to see if potential visiting students said things he doesn’t like, and then block them from entering the US. -Here is more discussion on what is coming closer and closer to a judge ruling that the Trump DoJ triple-attempt to indict Kilmar Abrego Garcia was not only “vindictive prosecution” but that the only case remaining against him should be tossed out. This likely will, and ought to, be the result, and it can’t come too soon. LINK Abrego Garcia is only charged now with driving illegal immigrants over state lines. But the Feds do not want to go to trial, they want their prosecution to keep Abrego Garcia in custody until they can find a place that will accept him as a deportee, then, the Trumpers want to wash their bloody, filthy hands of the issue, leaving him without a job, his family shaken up and forced to relocate (wherever they put him, if they get to send him away) and his rights demolished. -JUDGE HANNAH DUGAN, who did the right thing turning away ICE agents in her Federal District Court in WIS when they entered with a fake “administrative warrant”? She, who wrongfully was convicted of obstruction last month for helping an immigrant evade federal officers, has sent her resignation letter to the governor. LINK
From the article: “The letter was sent Saturday. Republicans had been making plans to impeach her ever since her Dec. 19 conviction. A spokesperson for Gov. Tony Evers, a Democrat, said his office received Dugan’s letter, and he would work to fill the vacancy without delay.”
-Around Portland, Oregon, citizens are organizing to track and keep a database of license plates of vehicles being used by ICE. LINK
