MARJORIE TYLOR GREENE ANNOUNCES SHE IS QUITTING
-Leaving, Jan 5, 2026, two days after she will be eligible to receive her pension
(that start date being January 3, 2026 (after 5 years of service). With 5 years of creditable service, she can receive an unreduced pension starting at age 62 (she turns 62 on May 27, 2036). Early retirement is possible at age 50 with 20 years (which she doesn’t meet), or reduced benefits at 55 with 30 years (also not met). Thus, payments begin in 2036, with annual cost-of-living adjustments (COLA) applied thereafter. Federal Early Retirement Supplements (FERS) for members of Congress uses 1.7% of the average of her highest three consecutive years of salary (her “high-3”) multiplied by years of service, so…

• High-3 average: $174,000 (base salary for rank-and-file members since 2009; no changes reported for 2023–2025).

  • Years of service: 5.

  • Annual amount: 5 × 1.7% × $174,000 = $14,790 (pre-COLA; this is the base starting in 2036, increasing annually with inflation).

• Additional Notes:

  • This is taxable income and subject to survivor benefits if elected.

She may also qualify for other post-service perks like health insurance continuation (FEHB) if she served 5+ years, but that’s not a direct “payment.
She spoke out against the US backing the Israeli-committed genocide in Gaza, spoke up and worked hard to release the Epstein files (what might be left of them), but also tweeted a photo of the Statue of Liberty wearing a burka when Mamdani won, and once compared Trump to Jesus. Her image as an opponent to the expansion of the US government has many snags in it, such as her support for some form of continuation of federal medical coverage, and she often supported the funds to go to the US military in the NDAA, despite that military occupying hundreds of bases worldwide where they should not be. She seems very earnest in her sentiments here.

-Massie also has introduced legislation to make political candidates disclose whether they have dual citizenship. LINK

IMMIGRATION, THE POLICE STATE AND TRAVEL IN THE US
-As the rabid anti-migrant MAGA mass celebrate the Trump ICE, FBI, Border Patrol, and DHS crush what is left of the Bill of Rights, they also push all of the American population towards electronic IDS. The latest step, of course, is REAL ID in all airports in order to fly, but as the feds hold a gun to your gut to make you pay for the operation of this police state, they also will let you pass the Black Guards — FOR A FEE. -These residents of the Boston area were kidnapped while they tried to do their jobs at an Allston car wash. Now, they say, “The American Dream is over.” LINK
-Another example of a deportation that hinges on not only an utterly flagrant dismissal of the Bill of Rights, but on the idea that the state can take your money to do what the “agents in power” want. LINK
-ICE kidnapped an LA man, six weeks ago. Now, no one knows where he is. LINK
-Dems in DC want Americans to be able to visit a website to find out where ICE is operating. MAGA GOP don’t. How about leaving us alone to NOT PAY FOR ICE, then we WON’T HAVE TO PAY FOR THE WEBSITE EITHER. LINK
-Trump twice denied so-called “disaster aid” to Illinois in what looks like retribution for Gov Pritzker’s opposition to ICE invading the state. In every facet of this fight, one can see the unconstitutional immigration police state, the unconstitutional “disaster aid” cash, and the unconstitutional expansion of federal statutes and offices that the feds claim they must maintain inside states. -We missed this one last week in MN. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, along with FBI and DEA support, raiding Bro-Tex Inc., a paper distributor in St. Paul, for suspected “immigration violations”. Protesters gathered after being tipped off, blocking federal vehicles and leading to clashes around 10 a.m. Agents deployed pepper spray and chemical irritants directly at demonstrators, injuring several, and 14 people were arrested. Local officials, including St. Paul leaders, condemned the use of force at a vigil the next day. LINK

SPECIAL ATTENTION: IMMIGRATION POLICE STATE AND PRIVACY, SURVEILLANCE
-This is not getting a lot of attention. An undisclosed U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) initiative—often referred to in reporting simply as a “secretive Border Patrol program”—that involves nationwide monitoring of vehicle movements to flag and detain individuals based on “suspicious” travel patterns is “happn’nen out there...” LINK
Let’s investigate. The feds quietly launched this in recent years (exact start date not publicly confirmed, but operational since at least 2022 based on incident timelines), it leverages automated license plate readers (ALPRs), data-sharing agreements with private companies, and AI-driven analytics to track millions of American drivers across the country, far beyond traditional border zones. The goal, according to CBP statements, is to “identify potential immigration violators, human smugglers, or other threats” by analyzing patterns like frequent cross-border trips or routes deviating from typical commutes. However, it has drawn sharp criticism for ensnaring U.S. citizens and legal residents without warrants, probable cause, or transparency, raising Fourth Amendment concerns over unreasonable searches and seizures. Here’s how it Operates
FIRST Data Collection: CBP accesses vast databases from private vendors (e.g., companies like Vigilant Solutions) that compile ALPR scans from toll roads, parking lots, and traffic cams. This creates a “travel graph” for individuals, mapping routes, timestamps, and associations with known suspects.

• Flagging and Action: Algorithms score travel as “suspicious” (e.g., repeated trips to border areas or links to flagged vehicles). Agents then pull over flagged drivers for secondary inspections, often at interior checkpoints or during routine patrols, sometimes coordinating with ICE for arrests.

• Scope: It covers all 50 states, not just border regions, affecting over 100 million vehicle scans annually. No public oversight or congressional notification is required, and details remain classified under “law enforcement sensitive” exemptions.

Several cases highlight the program’s insanity:

• 2023, Arizona: A U.S. citizen of Mexican descent, Maria Gonzalez (pseudonym in reporting), was detained for 12 hours at a Tucson checkpoint after her routine grocery runs to Mexico were flagged as “smuggling patterns.” No charges were filed, but she was questioned aggressively about family ties abroad.

• 2024, Texas: Father and son U.S. citizens, both veterans, were stopped near El Paso en route to a family wedding. Their shared vehicle history with a relative’s past border crossing triggered the alert, leading to a 6-hour detention and device searches.

• Ongoing Reports: At least 20 documented detentions of citizens since 2022, per ACLU and immigrant rights groups, with many involving Latino or Muslim Americans profiled by algorithmic biases.

Criticisms and Legal Challenges:

• Civil Liberties Groups: The ACLU and Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) have sued CBP, arguing the program enables “predictive policing” without due process, disproportionately targeting minorities and eroding privacy. “This isn’t border security; it’s a dragnet on American freedom,” said an EFF attorney in recent filings.

FREE SPEECH - A LESSON LIZ WARREN WILL NOT LEARN
-Warren claims she will fight against figures such as Larry Ellison getting massive swathes of the existing media landscape. What she doesn’t mention is that Ellison GOT CBS (actually, his SON runs it, via Skydance) BECAUSE of the FCC pressure and Trump’s lawsuit against CBS 60 Minutes. The pressure from FCC Sec Carr laid the foundation for this to come about as a way for CBS to avoid the perennial threat of “license revocation” that WARREN LOVES. LINK A free market - sans government “licensing” and pressure, allows for GROWTH of market alternatives, rather than political-fascist connections and coercion.

TAKEAWAYS FROM TRUMP’S MEETING WITH INCOMING NYC MAYOR MAMDANI
- Both of them embrace socialist-collectivist ideas. Trump disregards more of the Bill of Rights than Mamdani, but Mamdani will be sure to invade privacy to know what people own, earn, or how they run their businesses. His “collective grocery stores” are only a different form of the obnoxious and unconstitutional SNAP benefits that Trump wants to reserve only for “citizens” — who should not be getting the fruits of other people’s labor, either. It’s educational to look at both and see the lessons one can derive from their similar mentalities. LINK - AT LEAST MAMDANI says there is a genocide in Gaza and that he will arrest Netanyahu if the mass murderer comes to NYC. - Justin Amash has a salient observation about why Trump “likes” Mamdani but doesn’t like conservative Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) LINK

WAR
UKRAINE:
-This is interesting reading, and echoes many reports over the past few years, reports about how the Ukrainian leadership and military are not interested in trying to leave Russian civilians in peace. (Which, of course, was shown in early 2014, when the Ukrainian military attacked Russian people in the Donbass) LINK
-Let’s recall from the other day that the “negotiations” over a possible peace deal still seem to have life, now that the Russians are very close to total military victory. LINK
-Given that Macron held the map of Ukraine upside-down the other day as he purported to “explain” the war status to French citizens, his new non-response to questions from RT at the G-20 conference is to be expected. RT has been banned from going into the G-20 to cover events. LINK
-Trump is saying that Zelly can agree or continue being winnowed down to zilch. He could have cut the funds and weapons long ago, abided by the US Constitution, and helped stop the bloodshed. LINK
