Your Tears Tell a Wonderful Story
Tears are not wasted. They are not a sign of weakness, but of humanity and a tender heart. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 56:8, "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book." What a beautiful picture—that every tear you've cried has been noticed by God and holds meaning in His presence.
Your tears tell a wonderful story because they reveal what matters most to you. They tell of your love for others, your longing for hope, your ache for healing, and your desire to see God's hand at work. They show that your heart is alive, beating with compassion and longing.
Jesus Himself wept at the tomb of Lazarus (John 11:35). His tears spoke of His love, His empathy, and His shared grief. If the Son of God wept, then your tears are holy too.
So when tears fall in the quiet of the night, don't hide them or feel ashamed. Let them water the soil of your faith. For God is near to the brokenhearted, and your tears are telling Him a story He will one day redeem.
