Your Wedding Dress Arrived - What Now?

Listen Later

The Long Awaited Wedding Dress

Many brides try on sample wedding dresses and then order a new dress in their proper size. On average, it takes 3 - 4 months for a new wedding dress to be made by a bridal gown designer. Some designers keep an inventory of dresses and make them available immediately, but most wedding dresses have a wait to be made.

That's why you will hear people advising brides to start looking for their wedding dress 8 - 12 months before her wedding. This gives a cushion for time to look and alterations.

Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo wrote a blog called Your Dress has Arrived. It essentially tells about the store's experiences with brides who are notified when their bridal gown is ready for pickup, some of the emotions that are involved with seeing your dress for the first time and what the next steps are when it comes to trying on and picking up your wedding dress.

Listen to this podcast and see if you can gain insight into how to make the process of going to pick up your dress a delightful and stress-free experience.
