What is one trick that can help you be more successful with your New Year's Resolutions this year than any other year? The decision to start today, rather than waiting until New Year's will increase your success rate as well as the longevity of your results. 

 

Why is this though? Two of the biggest setbacks that prevent people from achieving their goals, let alone start working towards their goals, are time based and circumstantial. In this week's episode, Genevieve explains the power in getting started today and how to take away the focus from our excuses. Something Genevieve's found to be more true this year than any other year before, is that relationships take work. Full-time, consistent effort and action. She thought a long distance relationship across the globe was difficult, but the last couple of years have really opened her eyes to navigating just how important it is to be fully present and intentional in strengthening relationships with friends, family, co-workers, and her partner. 

 

But growth within relationships can’t happen without growth within ourselves first.

 

Luke and Gen chat about the importance of a growth mindset, and what it is. They also share experiences that have challenged them to grow the most individually, and as a couple. And in the spirit of giving thanks, share what challenging experience has provided them the most gratitude this year.

Her passions in life include advocating and helping animals and most of her down time is spent moving her body any way she feels fit, working in the garden, traveling, volunteer services, beach cleanups, meditating, and anything introspective to keep herself growing in all ways. 

And growth is a common theme you’ll find in her messages she shares on this week’s episode. Including how this last year has changed her perspective on life, challenged her to reevaluate her priorities, and how being present has helped her deepen her connection with self. Genevieve & Erika dive into the realness of depression, self-worth, mental health, navigating changes in life, and taking ownership of living our life fully.

Erika ends with sharing a glimpse of a  recent movie she got invited to be a part of, directed by Steven Spielberg, and what it was like to be on set with one of the top figures in Hollywood.
