Christopher Marlowe was an English playwright who worked at the same time as a certain William Shakespeare. Marlowe lived fast and died young  leaving most of his life shrouded in mystery. Accused of being a spy, a homosexual and an atheist Marlowe walked on the wild side of Tudor England. 

Where Curiosity Killed the Cat differs from the saturated genre of true crime is that it focuses more on mystery than investigation procedural. A lot of the cases covered do not have solid conclusions and its the fascination with the inexplicable that drives this series.
