Welcome to Embers and Wind!
Guest Rebecca Biedler shares what she learned from personal experience when she confides those who join this conversation “It is ok to seek out help. If you’re in the gym, or you’re trying something new, it’s ok to ask for directions. And it’s ok to try something and stumble a little bit. I even have coaches who have helped me including a personal trainer and a sales coach. And I just invite people to, to just try, seek that out, not be ashamed to ask for help, not be ashamed to be new. Realize your autonomy. Your body is adaptable. Your brain is flexible. And you can decide. Be ok with being different than another person. It’s ok to be different. Don’t discount the positive. Learn from your mistakes and don’t wait for a feeling, like ‘Oh, I need to be in the mood.’ Showing up sometimes is the best thing you can do. Sometimes, it takes more than knowing the reasons for exercise to motivate you. So basically, I would try to summarize that is: Don’t be ashamed. Don’t discount the positive, and it’s ok to be new.”
