Whatever the reason the person has to be let go, the way you handle this conversation sends messages to your remaining team about you as a leader.

Needless to state in today’s economy, the person you let go today, may be a colleague once again tomorrow.

So, it’s best to be prepared to deal with these situations that leaves the relationship and the person’s self-respect intact.
