"Your daughter looks like you." "Oh really? I can't see it."

How is it that everyone else can see some similarities between a mother and her daughter, except the mother?

It's much the same thing with our skills. Because you're so good at what you do, because you're so experienced at your craft, you may not realise just how daunting and difficult it appears to others.

You're too close to it

You fail to see the real value you bring.

So, how do you get around that? By asking someone. An outsider. A client. A stranger.

"What difference did I make?"

"What did you expect to get from working with me?"

"What did you actually get?"

The answers may surprise and delight you.
