You're not ready until you're ready.



Hi I'm Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.



Today, I want to discuss a principle that is so simple, so minuscule, but so many of us miss it on a daily basis. And it affects us in our personal lives and it affects our business. I'll give you a great example of it.



I'll start with the example, I have a client who for years has had ongoing issues with stability in his business, specifically around the repeatable actions in his business that really need to be systematized. It's one of the things that I always encourage my clients to do.



It's one of the main things that I preach on a regular basis is the importance of being system reliant.



You've got to have a system you got it not system reliant, but system based, I should say, Be relationship reliant, but system based, you have to have system for those parts of your business that don't take thought that you know, has to happen anyways.



Those need to be systematized and needs to be systematized to a point to where if you lose somebody, someone else can come in and take their place relatively quickly. And it doesn't, you don't have a whole lot of time to be able to catch up or to try and figure out what happened or what that person did or anything else, you got to have system in place.



For those positions, there's always parts of the business, it's really tough. If you're a creative business owner to wrap your mind around the fact that there are pieces of your business that need to keep going, that don't require creativity.



And there are people out there that enjoy that really enjoy doing non creative work.



That's tough.



If you're an entrepreneur, if you're a business owner, if you're the type of person that goes out lights creating stuff, it's tough to imagine people that enjoy doing the same thing over and over again, very system that they enjoy predictability of that sort of that time, but it's true.



And so for years, I've been encouraging this client to hire an operations manager to get someone in place that has the the coordination, the ability to be able to run multiple operations and make sure that all these people are doing their jobs and checking up on them and keep it on top of things before they go to haywire and taking responsibility for when things do go bad.



Years and years and years and years, this has been a thing that I've encouraged.



Finally, he happened upon somebody that had the right mindset. And I knew when I when I met this person that she had the right mindset.



When she came on board, it did not take long when she was fully on board and fully engaged, and in that position and had everything all lined up, it did not take long for everything to start running properly.



And that brings me to my point, you never get it until you get it, you're never there until you're there. And you could say something till you're blue in the face over and over and over and over again to somebody.



But until they get it, they don't get it until they understand they don't understand.
