Romans 2 brings us face to face with a hard truth. It is possible to be moral, religious, and even knowledgeable about Scripture, yet still be trusting the wrong thing. While Romans 1 exposes obvious sin, this chapter turns the spotlight inward and reminds us that God’s judgment is according to truth, not comparison.
In this episode, we walk through the sobering reality that no one is the exception. God’s kindness is meant to lead us to repentance, not comfort us in self confidence.
This is a call to move beyond outward religion and ask the deeper question. Has my heart truly been changed by the gospel?
Because you can look right on the outside and still miss the transforming power of Jesus.
