Youth Mental Health Initiative

Listen Later

NYC Health + Hospitals is launching a bold new mental health initiative targeting adolescents and young adults, a response to the growing crisis among the city’s youth. The program, part of the broader YouthHealth initiative, aims to break down barriers to care, focusing on equity, accessibility, and community engagement.

By integrating multi-disciplinary collaborations and culturally responsive services, NYC Health + Hospitals is striving to create a mental health system that meets young people where they are—before crises escalate.

But will this be enough to tackle the city's deep-rooted challenges of youth mental health? With services rolling out, the true test will be whether this initiative can provide the lasting support New York City’s youth so urgently needs.
