The Hebrew writer shows that true faith is active, obedient, reasonable, and necessary to persevere through trials—just as the persecuted Jewish Christians needed to endure by trusting God’s promises. By beginning with creation, Hebrews reminds us that if God can bring everything out of nothing, then He can sustain us through every hardship as we press toward His promised rest.
