In this episode of 8-bit Monsters' Monster Deconstruction for D&D 5e we look over the shape-changing Yuan-ti Mind Whisperer. This is a fun monster that not only combines the shapeshifting from last weeks Werewolf but also includes innate spellcasting and regular Warlock spellcasting. This gives the monster a very rounded approach to not only casting spells to subdue players but also strong melee attacks as well. I hope you enjoy this weeks episode because it leaves some unanswered questions and a first for the podcast.

The idea of this podcast is to break monsters down into their bare components: DCR & OCR. These two values will allow us to see how strong they are and to see where D&D got the CR values from. I'm doing this because all too often, players skip right to level 3 to avoid the hell levels and possibly end up dead. Generally, each monster is a balancing act that isn't equal to the final value.
