Yukio Mishima was a Japanese author who has received global acclaim for his prize winning books. In 1970 he stormed a military compound leading his own right-wing nationalist private militia, hoping to destroy the government. A complex curious character, Mishima would take his troubled life and create wonderful literary art, all the time secretly wishing to regain the strength of his warrior ancestors.
