Children across the globe who receive gifts for the holidays will dread receiving clothes that will be mixed in amongst their shiniy new toys.  However, Iceland warns us against throwing those woolen socks to the side.  Wearing them  just might save your life when Jólakötturinn, or the Yule Cat, peeks into your window and eats anyone who hasn’t received new clothes for Christmas.
