Shamit Shome has quietly had a solid season with Cavalry FC. He has been in the starting lineup every week but has moved positions as needed to cover for injuries. In our interview, we ask him about his versatility, what it's like to move from Edmonton to join the Cavs and his long relationship with head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr.

Is Jay Herdman joining the Cavs on loan from the Whitecaps? The New Zealand international (and John Herdman's son) is rumoured to be on his way to town. We talk about this possible loan and also preview the Cavs match vs Ottawa this weekend.

The Crowchild Classic (men's soccer edition) will be happening on the U of C campus on Saturday evening. We preview the match with interviews with MRU head coach Ryan Gyaki, Dinos head coach Ramon Mifflin and Cougars captain Caden Rogozinski. With Mifflin leaving the Cougars to take over the Dinos, does that spice up the rivalry? We ask both head coaches. In our chat with Rogozinski, we also ask about this time with Cavalry FC and his future aspirations as a footballer.

We take a walk down memory lane with Michael Vandale, who was the owner of the Calgary Storm pro team that played between 2001 and 2003. Vandale talks about the genesis of the club, the initial successes in 2001 followed by many losses in the next two years. He recounts why he gave up on the team midway through the 2003 season and the legacy of the Storm.
