Z-Shock Aftercast

Boris and Frost react to the news that My Chemical Romance has postponed all their 2021 tour dates including festivals (aka Aftershock), the chasm between people happy about it and devastated, potential replacements, and one young lady's unfortunate typo.

Boris and Frost break down the lineup reveal for all four days of Aftershock 2021 and discuss a coming contest for free weekend passes. They go down every band, Boris' stupid on air mistake when he was reading the lineup, and just about everything else to look forward to at Aftershock 2021 while looking back at Aftershocks from yesteryear.

We knew it was coming, but now it's official. Aftershock 2020 has been pushed back to 2021. That means Frost and Boris hop on to talk about what it means, some of the cool silver linings (like an added 4th night that you get free if you hold onto your 2020 tickets), and we play the full conversation Boris had with Festival Co-Founder Danny Wimmer on 106.7 Z-Rock to get all the perspective.

Boris and Frost do a pod for the first time since last year's unbelievable weekend of awesome.....tude. Why? Because this week we were able to announce that My Chemical Romance will be headlining Saturday this fall on 106.7 Z-Rock. The reaction was PASSIONATE and both positive AND negative so they read some comments posted to the Z-Rock socials and talk about it all. Also (as always) hella weird tangents and more.

Boris and Frost report live from the first two days of Aftershock 2019, from Discovery Park in Sacramento California

The final episode pre-Aftershock 2019! Boris and Frost compare notes to the most recent editions they attended (Frost in 2017 & Boris in 2018) and talk about what they're most looking forward to this weekend. A bit of a peek behind the curtain at what takes place in the media tent, and they also talk about the rumors of a pending announcement that Metallica will headline Aftershock 2020. All that plus a discussion of Dying Fetus' appearance in the most recent episode of South Park and how that harkens back to when Korn was even more front and center on the show back in the 90s!

Then the stories of Aftershocks past flowed from Frost, Boris tries to add to it with a story of his hotel neighbor getting their loud bang on last year with limited success. Then eventually get into their featured act Halestorm as well as highlight support act Phil Anselmo & the Illegals. Then they check in with Aftershock co-founder Gary Spivak about the potential for designated areas for cannabis use seeing as how it has been legal in California now since 2017.
