Is there a possibility or even evidence for life on the moons of Saturn and Jupiter? Well, there has been some new evidence that life may either have existed or is currently existing on these moons. I discuss the probability of this as well as the upcoming missions that should give us more info on one of the more interesting moons, Titan, which orbits Saturn.
Then, we take a look at recent analysis of samples taken from the Osiris Rex mission. From the asteroid Bennu, humans have returned samples from its surface a few months ago and now some preliminary data has come out about the contents of the samples. Hopefully in the coming months, we can find more evidence of what scientists believe: that asteroids like this are the reason for life beginning on our planet. How is that possible? Well, listen to the podcast and previous episodes to find out.
After that, we talk about the strategies and use of different forms of electromagnetic radiation to communicate and receive messages. Who are we trying to communicate with? Other civilizations. I also go through a back and forth I had with Chat GPT about this very subject and how we can use different forms of electromagnetic waves to communicate to these civilizations and our own spacecraft that are billions of miles away.
Then, I detail a story from World War II that tells the story of the Berlin Zoo. This story is an example of the best and worst parts of human beings. On one hand, you have people dropping bombs with the intent to destroy as much life as possible. On the other side, you have people who risked their own lives to protect zoo animals. This issue a story that highlights who we are as humans, even almost a full century ago. Humans are complicated. Sometimes it seems impossible to choose to sacrifice your own safety for the safety of others, human or not, and get almost nothing in return.
Finally, we go through a hypothetical situation that makes you choose a situation between 20 different fighting groups from different time periods. I also have Chat GPT help me out with this one.
