Zachary Pitt-Smith is the Music Director at Edna Brewer Middle School . We recently hopped on a call where we discussed his passion for music and his students, what it was like to refocus teaching methods amidst a pandemic and  OEASE - Oakland Eastside All Star Ensemble  a youth based ensemble focused on music, mentorship & leadership within their community.
