Thanks to a dubious Supreme Court decision, Karen Garst decided to up her activism. The pinnacle of her efforts will show off when her book Women Beyond Belief debuts this October. She’ll talk about growing up Lutheran in North Dakota, helping expose her church’s bad finances in Oregon and coaxing 22 women into telling their stories of (mostly) leaving religion.
