Zack is a young, handsome man of color. His Mexican descent helps to establish his dark, latino features. He wears his smile with confidence and his humbling, millennial attitude meshes perfectly with his personality. At the age of 26, he nervously sits before me at the anticipation of letting me into small, yet (very) personal pieces of his life. Growing up in that traditional latin culture led by his family’s Jehovah’s Witness religion was already hard. Now, imagine growing up latino, in the Jehovah Witness religion, and discovering you were gay… Two wine goblets, a bottle of red wine, and my laptop sit between us. This is his story… Enjoy.
