INTERVIEW [STUDIO]: The Indie Africa Workshop takes place at the Joburg Theatre Complex tomorrow afternoon. It’s being hosted by Africa Rising Music Conference in collaboration with partners in the industry such as Zakes Bantwini. Bantwini joins us in studio to chat about the workshop.

INDIE AFRICA WORKSHOP is an empowering and interactive discussion platform of key industry experts sharing their knowledge and experience of Independence in the Music Industry.
The workshop will unpack various topics on industry value chain, in particular how artists can release their music worldwide while staying independent.
The Indie Africa Workshop will be presented by well vested industry experts such as Zakes Bantwini, musician and founder of Mayonie Productions, Munyaradzi Chanetsa, Head of Licence at collections agency CAPASSO, Raphael Benza, co-founder of Vth Season, Tumi Mogapi, Publisher Services Manager at collection agency SAMRO, Jiggs Thorne, Director of MTN Bush Fire Festival and international guests – Sarah Jane Nicholson, founder of SJN Agency and Africa Rising Music Conference and Ralph Boegë, CEO & Founder of Berlin based Paradise Distribution.
The objective of ARMC is to enable South African-based executives & artists to successfully move into the international space as well as providing valuable insights and connections for international stakeholders.
