Zechariah 1:18-21
Review
(1:1-6) It is time to repent
(1:7-17) Even though everything is quiet and it seems like nothing is happening, God has not forgotten His promises. He will act.
Zechariah 1:18-21 is the 2nd of 8 visions that Zechariah sees in one night. This second vision of four horns and four craftsmen reveals that God remembers His plan for history which He revealed to Daniel and He will certainly do it.
Background
Daniel 2 – Four parts of the statue represent kingdoms; crushed by a stone (2:34)
Daniel 7 – Horns represent kings (7:7-8, 24); horns persecute God’s people, but they are removed by God (7:9-12, 25-27)
