The birth of Jesus was so that those closest to the event couldn't help but break out into song. After Zechariah heard the promise of a coming savior, he sang words of celebration and promise. The lyrics were filled with relief because, finally, God would bring salvation, we would receive mercy, and one day, healing would come to broken relationships between God and His people. And this is still good news for us today.
