We start with the question of whether AI will ever be able to duplicate human consciousness. This leads, of course, to the question of “well, what is consciousness anyway?”

Aren’t we, too, just machines that have been fed data since birth, which we then export by way of our thoughts and actions?

The ultimate question we also want to ask here is whether the longterm benefits of AI outweigh the Terminator-like risks involved in developing technology which thinks for itself.
