Through her selected koan, Zenshin points to the fleeting and non-obvious nature of practice. Just as experiences wash through our senses, so too does practice wash through us. Grasping or clinging at what is right or wrong will push us off the path. Clearly observing those we recognize as compassionate and wise is the the most direct course of learning.
