Crime Diner

Zero Lucks Were Given

Listen Later

We are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on the podcast this week by sharing some stories straight out of Ireland. Dana tells us of the female pirates of Ireland, Anne Bonny and Mary Read. These two pillaged and plundered their way around the world. Nydia shares the history of the Magdalene Laundries. Their secrets were buried deeper than the hundreds of bodies on their properties. Cindy has some fun making Dana and Nydia act out an Irish folktale called, “The Potato Supper”.

For dinner this week, Cindy went with an Irish meal of Guinness braised short ribs and Irish soda bread.  For dessert, she made us some Guinness brownies with Irish cream frosting that were simply chef’s kisses.  The meal was paired with Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon, a strong classic Cab aromas of vanilla and spices.
