Hoy les comparto los vídeos de las rondas en la competencia Street Workout Duals Battles en su 4.ª edición organizada por la comunidad SWC junto con el patrocinio de la Blockchain de Hive. Ha sido un honor estar en este proyecto, disfrutando, aprendiendo y creciendo como atleta. En mis publicaciones anteriores les he hablado de la experiencia de cada una de las rondas, desde la primera hasta la semifinal, que fue algo inesperado.

Warm greetings to the whole Hive and Street Workout community! I hope everyone is doing great, guys. Today I share with you the videos of the rounds in the Street Workout Duals Battles competition in its 4th edition organised by the SWC community together with the sponsorship of the Hive Blockchain. It has been an honour to be in this project, enjoying, learning and growing as an athlete. In my previous posts I have told you about the experience of each of the rounds, from the first round to the semi-final, which was unexpected.

Esta competencia marcó el inicio de lo que se viene en la comunidad a medida que pasa el tiempo. Felicitó a los tres organizadores principales: el líder Manuel Ramos, la asesora técnica y el moderador Joscar Mundo, hicieron un buen trabajo. Todo con el fin de cumplir metas que los atletas lo veían como sueños. En SWC los sueños se hacen realidad. En el vídeo verán nuestro desempeñó como atletas, con la disciplina que la mantenemos, pase lo que pasé, siempre debemos de estar entrenando y buscar nuestra mejor versión. This competition marked the beginning of what is to come in the community as time goes on. He congratulated the three main organisers: the leader Manuel Ramos, the technical advisor and the moderator Joscar Mundo, who did a good job. All in order to accomplish goals that the athletes saw as dreams. In SWC dreams come true. In the video you will see our performance as athletes, with the discipline that we maintain, whatever happens, we must always be training and looking for our best version. Mi persona y mi dúo @johnesmith hicimos todo lo posible para hacer un buen trabajo. Estoy muy feliz, orgulloso de haber llegado a la ronda semifinal, es un paso más para quedarme entre los mejores atletas. El apoyo que recibimos ese día fue espectacular. Myself and my duo @johnesmith did our best to do a good job. I'm very happy, proud to have made it to the semi-final round, it's one more step to stay among the best athletes. Hoy, después de tantos días, les compartiré un video de un entrenamiento nivel intermedio de uno de los elementos del Street Workout llamado Front Lever o, en su traducción al español, "Palanca Frontal". Recordemos que este ejercicio estático demanda mucho de lo que es toda la espalda, específicamente los dorsales y los bíceps. Esta rutina está apta para aquellos calisténicos que tengan un nivel básico aceptable, es decir, que tengan un buen dominio de su propio peso corporal.

Hey, how are you, fellow Hivers of the Full Deportes community! I hope you are all very well. It's Friday, practically the end of the week. Today, after so many days, I will share with you a video of an intermediate level workout of one of the elements of Street Workout called Front Lever. Remember that this static exercise demands a lot from the entire back, specifically the lats and biceps. This routine is suitable for those callisthenics who have an acceptable basic level, that is to say, who have a good command of their own body weight.

Por otra parte, si eres alguien que quiere intentarlo, no te diré que no; pueden hacerlo con mucho gusto siempre y cuando calienten bien los músculos. Hay que tomar en cuenta que un buen calentamiento nos garantiza un entrenamiento saludable y ayuda a evitar lesiones a largo plazo. Bien amigos, en el video podrán detallar cada ejercicio y cómo los estoy ejecutando; les explicaré cómo se llama cada uno, la cantidad de repeticiones y series. Una vez que hayan calentado como mínimo 30 minutos, podemos empezar chicos.

On the other hand, if you are someone who wants to give it a try, I won't say no; they can do it with pleasure as long as they warm up their muscles properly. You have to take into account that a good warm-up guarantees a healthy workout and helps to avoid injuries in the long run. Well friends, in the video you will be able to detail each exercise and how I am executing them; I will explain what each one is called, the number of repetitions and sets. Once you've warmed up for at least 30 minutes, we can get started guys.

El primer ejercicio de la rutina es uno combinado (8 tuck pull-ups + aguante en tuck avanzado + aguante de tuck normal). Las pull-ups deben hacerse hasta la cadera para que puedan utilizar toda la fuerza de su espalda. Luego vendrán dos aguantes de las progresiones más sencillas del front lever; los segundos no son necesarios contarlos chicos; prefiero que lo hagan hasta que no puedan más y bajen la progresión una vez que ya no puedan más con el avanzado.

The first exercise of the routine is a combination exercise (8 tuck pull-ups + advanced tuck hold + normal tuck hold). The pull-ups should be done up to your hips so that you can use the full strength of your back. Then come two holds of the simpler front lever progressions; the seconds don't need to be counted, guys; I'd rather you do them until you can't do them anymore and drop the progression once you can't do the advanced one anymore.

El segundo ejercicio es front lever asistido con liga de resistencia; van a realizar 2 presses lo más limpios que puedan y luego aguantarán unos segundos al bajar la negativa del press.

The second exercise is front lever assisted with resistance garter; you are going to perform 2 presses as clean as you can and then hold for a few seconds when lowering the negative of the press.

Como tercer ejercicio de la rutina van a hacer remo a pica front lever por 5 repeticiones; luego aguantarán de 3 a 5 segundos las progresiones de tuck avanzado y el normal. El cuarto ejercicio y último por la parte de la tensión es realizar front lever alternando con cada pierna; deben hacerlo en una barra baja para poder ir alternando. De 5 a 8 repeticiones para este ejercicio. Por último, realizarán 6 dominadas supinas chicos para terminar la rutina con básicos.

As the third exercise of the routine you are going to do front lever rowing for 5 repetitions; then you will hold the advanced and normal tuck progressions for 3 to 5 seconds. The fourth and last exercise for the tension part is to perform front lever alternating with each leg; you must do it on a low bar to be able to alternate. From 5 to 8 repetitions for this exercise. Finally, they will perform 6 supine pull-ups to finish the routine with basics.

Hoy quiero compartir con todos ustedes lo que es un entrenamiento solamente de equilibrio en el mundo de la calistenia, o en otras palabras, la parada de manos. Ayer yo no me sentía capacitado para entrenar fuerte; mis dorsales estaban totalmente cansados todavía y mis hombros, sin duda alguna, también. Tenía las dos fuerzas cansadas aún. Sin embargo, tampoco quería perder el día sin hacer nada en el parque. Por lo tanto, decidí dedicarme solamente a hacer un entrenamiento con la parada de manos, mejorando así el control que yo tenía antes.

Greetings to the entire Hive and Full Deportes community! I hope everyone is doing great today. Today I want to share with you all what is a balance only workout in the world of calisthenics, or in other words, the handstand. Yesterday I didn't feel up to training hard; my lats were still totally tired and my shoulders were definitely tired. I had both forces still tired. However, I didn't want to waste the day doing nothing in the park either. Therefore, I decided to dedicate myself only to a handstand training, thus improving the control I had before.

Anteriormente, yo era una persona que solamente hacía parada de manos las 3 horas que estaba en el parque. Mi rutina se basaba prácticamente en hacer 20 fondos, 5 dominadas y, ya cuando terminaba de hacer eso, me ponía a hacer parada de manos. Este estático por sí mismo es mi favorito, ya que fue el primero que me llamó la atención. Me gustaba porque controlas todo tu propio cuerpo; además, estás sosteniendo todo tu cuerpo solo con los brazos.

Previously, I was a person who only did handstands for the 3 hours I was in the park. My routine pretty much consisted of doing 20 dips, 5 pull-ups, and when I was done with that, I would do handstands. This static one by itself is my favourite, as it was the first one that caught my attention. I liked it because you control your own body; plus, you're holding your whole body with just your arms.

A medida que fue pasando el tiempo en mis inicios como atleta del Street Workout, me di cuenta de que no muchos logran mantener una disciplina con este estático. A pesar de ser el elemento más fácil, el cual no necesita tanta fuerza base para empezar a realizarlo, ya que solamente es puro equilibrio y aprender a muñequear con tus manos. Muchos compañeros míos que querían este estático se rendían tan fácil porque no les salía como ellos esperaban.

As time went by in my early days as a Street Workout athlete, I realised that not many people manage to maintain a discipline with this static. Even though it is the easiest element, which doesn't require as much base strength to start doing it, as it is just pure balance and learning how to wrist with your hands. Many colleagues of mine who wanted to do this static gave up so easily because it didn't work out as they expected.

Siéndoles sincero, a pesar de que sea fácil dominarlo, lleva su tiempo y su dedicación, chicos. Hay una frase que muchas personas dicen: "Roma no se construyó en un día". Por lo tanto, tenemos que ser pacientes si queremos lograr cualquier cosa que deseemos. Si le dedicas su tiempo, puedes llegar a dominar los primeros 30 segundos en un lapso aproximado de 3 a 4 meses. Esto si lo haces todos los días.

To be honest, even though it's easy to master, it takes time and dedication, guys. There is a phrase that many people say: "Rome was not built in a day". Therefore, we have to be patient if we want to achieve anything we want. If you put in the time, you can master the first 30 seconds in about 3-4 months. That is if you do it every day.

Un tip que deberían tomar en cuenta es conectar tu mente con tu cuerpo porque de eso se trata la parada de manos. El mundo de la calistenia es impresionante, amigos; hay cosas que me faltan por experimentar y probar. A medida que vaya adquiriendo más experiencia en este mundo, sin duda alguna las compartiré con ustedes.

One tip you should take into account is to connect your mind with your body because that's what handstands are all about. The world of calisthenics is awesome, folks; there are things I have yet to experience and try. As I gain more experience in this world, I will definitely share them with you.

Al principio del video podrán ver que primero hago un calentamiento; siempre se los recordaré a las personas que están iniciando en el mundo del Street Workout. Las lesiones son las peores cosas que a uno le pueden pasar como atletas en deportes que requieren una buena dedicación. A veces las lesiones llegan de manera inesperada, pero la mayoría de las veces es por no hacer un buen calentamiento.

At the beginning of the video you will see that I warm up first; I will always remind people who are just starting out in the world of Street Workout. Injuries are the worst things that can happen to you as an athlete in sports that require a lot of dedication. Sometimes injuries come unexpectedly, but most of the time it's from not warming up properly.

Luego del calentamiento podrán ver que empecé a hacer la parada de manos con subidas a fuerza y press; también marqué una plancha en su progresión straddle. Eso es algo muy bonito de este estático: tenemos la oportunidad de combinarlo. También intenté la parada de manos a una mano, que estoy en proceso de desbloquearlo.

After the warm-up you can see that I started to do the handstand with pull ups and presses; I also scored a plank in its straddle progression. That's a nice thing about this static: we have the opportunity to combine it. I also tried the one-handed handstand, which I'm in the process of unlocking.

En el día de hoy les compartiré parte de lo que fue mi participación el pasado 31 de enero en la competencia Versus por aleatoriedad en su primera edición. Siendo sinceros, solamente competí por diversión y disfrutar la experiencia; en lo personal, no tenía planeadas mis rondas ya que no estaba seguro si participar o ser solo un espectador durante toda la competencia. Sin embargo, varios muchachos del parque me motivaron a que compitiera y pasara un buen rato.

Today I'm going to share with you part of my participation in the first edition of the Versus Randomness competition on the 31st of January. To be honest, I only competed for fun and to enjoy the experience; personally, I didn't have my rounds planned as I wasn't sure whether to participate or just be a spectator during the whole competition. However, several guys from the park encouraged me to compete and have a good time.

En mi publicación anterior, si se acuerdan, había dicho que me anoté de último por haber pensado muchas veces si participar o no. Lo bueno de ser uno de los últimos atletas en pasar es que tienes tiempo de calentar tu cuerpo por completo para evitar algún tipo de lesión. Entre tanta espera, ya era mi turno de pasar a las barras y sacar lo mejor de mí. Mi primera ronda fue la más completa y en la que dejé toda mi fuerza para los estáticos. Aún sigo siendo un atleta amateur en proceso de llegar a semi-profesional. Como podrán ver en el video, mi primera ronda fue muy buena; no tenía tanta fuerza, sin embargo, hice lo mejor posible con el back lever a una mano, chicos.

In my previous post, if you remember, I had said that I signed up last because I had thought many times whether to participate or not. The good thing about being one of the last athletes to pass is that you have time to warm up your body completely to avoid any kind of injury. In between so much waiting, it was my turn to go to the bars and do my best. My first round was the most complete and the one in which I left all my strength for the static. I am still an amateur athlete in the process of becoming semi-professional. As you can see in the video, my first round was very good; I didn't have that much strength, but I did my best with the one-handed back lever, guys.

Siento que esta competencia para mí fue la mejor y en la que combiné muy bien los elementos del Street Workout. A pesar de que me faltaron muchas cosas por mejorar en mis rondas, porque si ven el video completo, estáticos como la plancha, front lever y la parada de manos, me falta combinarlas mejor en las competencias. Aquí es donde uno se da cuenta en qué puede mejorar. Porque en tus entrenamientos normales no verás tan fácil en qué estás fallando, a menos que tengas unos amigos que sean bastante avanzados para que te corrijan. Un gusto poder compartir las rondas con ustedes, familia SWC.

I feel that this competition was the best for me and I combined the elements of Street Workout very well. Even though I lacked a lot of things to improve in my rounds, because if you watch the whole video, statics like the plank, front lever and handstand, I lacked to combine them better in the competitions. This is where you realise where you can improve. Because in your normal workouts you won't see so easily where you are failing, unless you have some friends who are advanced enough to correct you. Nice to be able to share the rounds with you, SWC family.

Hoy, después de tanto, les compartiré un video para que vean cómo ejecuto los ejercicios y cómo son mis entrenamientos a lo largo de los días en el parque, para que tengan una idea. El pasado miércoles 29 de enero, realicé un entrenamiento completo pero, a la vez, haciendo ejercicios para corregir posturas. Para ese día realmente no sabía qué hacer, primero porque tenía una competencia cerca y no podía cansarme tanto para poder tener energía en la competencia.

Greetings to the entire Hive and Full Deportes community! I hope everyone is doing great today. Today, after so much, I will share with you a video so you can see how I execute the exercises and what my workouts are like throughout the days in the park, to give you an idea. Last Wednesday, January 29th, I did a full workout but, at the same time, doing exercises to correct postures. For that day I really didn't know what to do, first of all because I had a competition nearby and I couldn't get too tired to have energy for the competition.

Viéndolo así, tenía que hacer un entrenamiento no tan fuerte, pero que sí me ayudara a agarrar fuerza y no dejar el día libre como tal. Decidí hacer las dos fuerzas, tanto empuje como jale; esto es algo que suelo hacer de vez en cuando. No suelo hacerlo todas las semanas ya que estaría cansado de los músculos de la espalda y los hombros al mismo tiempo. Aunque en la calistenia aislar los músculos y enfocarte solamente en una zona muscular es algo complicado porque en las dominadas utilizamos todos los músculos del tren superior, sin embargo, sí hay forma de no fatigar tanto todas las áreas; ya sería cuestión de organizarse para rendir toda la semana en el parque.

Looking at it this way, I had to do a workout that wasn't so hard, but that would help me to build up my strength and not leave the day off as such. I decided to do both strength, both push and pull; this is something I do from time to time. I don't tend to do it every week as I would be tiring my back and shoulder muscles at the same time. Although in calisthenics isolating the muscles and focusing only on one muscle area is a bit tricky because in pull-ups we use all the muscles of the upper body, however, there is a way of not fatiguing all the areas so much; it would be a matter of organising yourself to perform all week in the park.

Bien chicos, al tener la competencia cerca decidí empezar con básicos específicos para los estáticos. Al principio del video pueden notar que empecé haciendo straddle planche; lo malo es que me salió muy arriba, en lugar de partir con el lumbar, lo hice con los glúteos, que eso es una forma incorrecta de hacerlo chicos. Preferí dejarlo hasta ahí y empecé a hacer repeticiones de tuck + aguante; esto me ayudará mucho a agarrar fuerza en los músculos para ejecutar la plancha con buena técnica. Posteriormente, luego de terminar mis series con este ejercicio pasé a hacer las pull ups de tuck advance de front; este es un ejercicio que todo calisténico debe dominar si quiere un buen front lever. No solamente hice esto; de una vez añadí el tuck de front y sus repeticiones para hacer una mini sobrecarga.

Well guys, with the competition coming up I decided to start with specific basics for the static. At the beginning of the video you can notice that I started doing straddle planche; the bad thing is that it came out too high, instead of starting with my lower back, I did it with my glutes, which is the wrong way to do it guys. I preferred to leave it there and started to do tuck + hold reps; this will help me a lot to get the strength in my muscles to perform the plank with good technique. Then, after finishing my sets with this exercise, I went on to do the front tuck advance pull ups; this is an exercise that every gym-goer should master if they want a good front lever. I didn't just do this; I added the front tuck and its reps for a mini overload.

Por último, en la parte de la tensión pasé a realizar los ejercicios front lever y straddle planche con la liga de resistencia, con el objetivo de acomodar las posturas. La liga te ayudará a agarrar fuerza, pero no debes dejar que todo el trabajo lo haga ella porque no estarías haciendo nada. A pesar de utilizar la liga morada me costó hacer los press de front; apreté todo mi cuerpo para que todo saliera mejor. No puede faltar ejecutar la straddle planche, que es mi segundo estático favorito chicos; aquí trato de hacer lo máximo posible para que todo el trabajo lo hiciera yo y no toda la liga, ya que todo el peso cae en los hombros, bíceps, antebrazos y las escápulas. Hice varios intentos hasta casi llegar al límite.

Finally, for the tension part, I went on to perform the front lever and straddle planche exercises with the resistance band, in order to accommodate the postures. The garter will help you build strength, but you shouldn't let the garter do all the work because you won't be doing anything. Even though I used the purple band, I struggled to do the front presses; I squeezed my whole body to make everything go better. You can't miss performing the straddle planche, which is my second favourite static press, guys; here I try to do as much as possible so that all the work is done by me and not all the weight is on the shoulders, biceps, forearms and scapulae. I made several attempts until I almost reached the limit.

Y por último, pero no menos importante, llegamos al apartado de los básicos: fondos, dominadas, bardips y muscle ups. Esto para mí fue todo un circuito; yo soy bastante bueno en repeticiones por lo que actualmente estoy pasando mi fuerza poco a poco a la tensión. And last but not least, we came to the basics: dips, pull-ups, bardips and muscle ups. Bien, chicos, como pueden ver en el video, solamente realicé 3 estáticos. Los cuales fueron Front Lever, Straddle Planche y Handstand. Yo había nombrado que haría también algo de Back Lever; sin embargo, mis músculos no daban para tanto, chicos. Bien, chicos, la rutina está hecha y organizada de la siguiente manera: primero Front Lever, aguantar mínimo 3 segundos por 5 series. Luego de completar este ejercicio, vamos con la plancha; en mi caso lo hice en la progresión Straddle, por el momento es hasta donde yo puedo llegar.

Ok guys, as you can see in the video, I only performed 3 static ones. Which were Front Lever, Straddle Planche and Handstand. I had mentioned that I would also do some Back Lever; however, my muscles weren't up to that much, guys. Well, guys, the routine is done and organized as follows: first Front Lever, hold for a minimum of 3 seconds for 5 sets. La idea es aguantar 3 segundos de igual forma que el Front Lever, por 5 series. Terminando la parte de la plancha, empezamos con un ejercicio para relajar el cuerpo: la parada de manos. Aquí sí pueden hacer las series y los segundos que ustedes gusten, chicos. Los descansos son entre 2 o 3 minutos; tengan en cuenta que descansar es importante. Esta es la rutina; espero les haya gustado. Muchas bendiciones para todos ustedes.

The idea is to hold for 3 seconds in the same way as the Front Lever, for 5 sets. After finishing the plank part, we start with an exercise to relax the body: the handstand. Esta segunda ronda ya era el versus contra otro atleta; en mi caso, me tocó el atleta @sw-kleymer, un gran atleta, por cierto. Tiene bastante fuerza en sus dorsales. No me acuerdo si les comenté, pero los 6 primeros atletas con mejor puntaje tenían el privilegio de elegir al atleta con quien iban a competir.

Today I will bring you my second round in the Hive 2024 Cup, organised thanks to CEO Manuel Ramos and the Hive blockchain. This second round was already the versus against another athlete; in my case, I got the athlete @sw-kleymer, a great athlete by the way. He has quite a lot of strength in his bibs. I don't remember if I told you, but the first 6 athletes with the best score had the privilege to choose the athlete they were going to compete with.

Primero hicimos piedra, papel o tijera porque estábamos entre si comenzaba él o yo, jaja. Me divertí bastante en ese momento. Perdí el juego que estábamos haciendo, así que tenía que empezar yo. Comencé con dinámicos y luego estáticos, chicos. Luego de mi ronda era turno de Kleymer; mi descanso fue la ronda de él porque resulta que eran dos rondas seguidas y yo no me lo esperaba. Pensé que era una sola ronda y listo. Menos mal que no había dado el 100% en la primera ronda, jajaja. Fue un buen momento, chicos; perdí la ronda, pero para la próxima hay muchas otras oportunidades. Esto me lo tomé más como una lección para seguir mejorando y subiendo mi nivel; las competencias te enseñan en qué fallaste debido a que entrenar en un parque como normalmente lo hacemos no nos damos cuenta. ¡Espero que les guste el video, chicos! First we did rock, paper, scissors because we were torn between whether he or I would start, haha. I had a lot of fun at that point. I lost the game we were doing, so I had to start. Una competencia hecha para los atletas y para mostrar de lo que son capaces de hacer; hay tres categorías: Amateur, Semi-profesional y, por último, Profesional.

Today I will share with you what my first round was like in one of the best competitions: the Hive Cup. A competition made for athletes and to show what they are capable of; there are three categories: Amateur, Semi-professional and finally Professional.

Ya estaban llamando a los atletas; me sentía algo nervioso y a la vez emocionado porque jamás pensé en competir en una competencia así de grande, chicos. Llamaron uno por uno hasta que llegó mi turno en la ronda clasificatoria, para luego que los jueces tomaran la decisión de cómo iban a hacer los versus. Me llamaron y era momento de que me levantara a lanzar los combos practicados en el parque. Estar frente a todos otra vez, esa sensación es única. La primera vez que sentí eso fue en la SWDB 3era Edición, competencia en la cual me gustó mucho; esta, sin duda alguna, me gustó mucho más. En mi primer combo hice varias cosas: 360, Olímpica y pasé a las paralelas para completar los 45 segundos de tiempo. En esta ronda perdí los nervios y me dejé llevar más por la adrenalina.

They were already calling the athletes; I was a bit nervous and excited at the same time because I never thought I would compete in such a big competition, guys. They called one by one until it was my turn in the qualifying round, and then the judges made the decision on how they were going to do the versus. My name was called and it was time for me to get up and throw the combos I had practiced in the park. To be in front of everyone again, that feeling is unique. The first time I felt that feeling was at SWDB 3rd Edition, a competition I really enjoyed; this one, without a doubt, I enjoyed much more. In my first combo I did several things: 360, Olympic and moved on to parallel to complete the 45 seconds time. In this round I lost my nerves and let the adrenaline get the better of me.

Una de las ventajas de asistir como espectador es que puedes apreciar todas las rondas, tanto en la categoría semi-profesional como en la profesional. Observé a varios atletas ese día y, sinceramente, hay un gran nivel aquí en mi país. Hay atletas muy completos, aunque algunos con buen nivel no pudieron asistir, algo que no esperaba. Pero sí, chicos, aquí en Venezuela hay un gran potencial en este deporte. Hay personas que han dedicado su tiempo a mejorar y han logrado adaptar sus cuerpos a los ejercicios estáticos; esto también incluye los dinámicos. Algunos no se atreven a realizarlos por miedo, ya que están en el aire y deben volver a agarrar la barra. Sin embargo, si uno como atleta quiere ser completo para competir y ganar, es necesario trabajar arduamente en ambas áreas: estáticos y dinámicos. Combinar las dos es realmente impresionante.

One of the advantages of attending as a spectator is that you can watch all the rounds, both semi-professional and professional. I watched several athletes that day and, honestly, there is a great level here in my country. There are very complete athletes, although some with a good level could not attend, something I did not expect. But yes, guys, here in Venezuela there is great potential in this sport. There are people who have dedicated their time to improve and have managed to adapt their bodies to the static exercises; this also includes the dynamic ones. Some don't dare to do them out of fear, as they are in the air and have to grab the bar again. However, if one as an athlete wants to be complete in order to compete and win, it is necessary to work hard in both areas: static and dynamic. Combining the two is really impressive.
