SDCT0012: We can construct a modern scientific technology of government by connecting themes that are firmly established in cognitive science with what we know about the left and right wings of the political spectrum. And we must do so; the future of our species depends upon it. In an age where Donald Trump unilaterally tears up nuclear weapons agreements, where the power to blow up the entire planet is put into the hands of ape-men in expensive suits, whether or not the human species survives or kills itself off depends on whether or not we establish a truly scientific technology of government. We can no longer put modern weapons technology into the hands of prescientific politicians. Governments of the future, if we are to have a future, must be rooted in a mature science of the human mind. Salvation for our species is on the left side of the political spectrum, where science thrives and where minds and hearts are big. Extinction is at the opposite extreme. Humanity would exit through the same door from which it entered, over on the far right, where minds and hearts are small, and where science does not exist.
