This week, the lads discuss the adorable chicken Kulu Ya Ku. And because Luke is still travelling Japan, nobody was on hand to bring up real life prehistoric analogues like the terror bird. Shocking.

After a two week break, Monster Mash is back! 

It's time for season three, and this is the one you've all been waiting for: we're covering the monsters from Monster Hunter World!

Some slight changes going forwards. You'll be hearing less of Luke (though he's still producing and editing, and writing this in the third person) but instead you'll hear from Alex Musselwhite, who'd pretty chill. We're going to be bringing you episodes bi-weekly, but on the off weeks we'll be uploading our full pre-recording hunts to youtube. We're also going to get back to properly updating our facebook and youtube channels.

It's the final monster of Monster Hunter XX! The Atlal Ka, or Atoraru Ka, hasn't ever appeared in an English game and none of us speak good Japanese, so expect some nonsense. Luke's audio was a little better in the cast this week, but unusable in the hunt. Easy come, easy go.

It's the last day of Elder Dragon Month and the penultimate monster before we move onto the Monster Hunter World beasties! It's a bit of a long one this week again, but we are discussing and hunting three big elder dragons. Also, Luke's audio is a little out of sync and choppier than usual as he's recording from Japan on his travel writing laptop. I've done what I can to fix it, but apologies if it isn't quite up to the usual extraordinary standards of Monster Mash.

Elder Dragon Month continues! A three-man cast this week, bringing you our longest, and possibly stupidest, episode to date. Andy and Jas have fought Gogmazios before, but Jay and Luke haven't. Luke's too busy being in Japan like a big weeaboo, but Jay's here and ready to draw a picture of Gogmazios based on Andy and Jas' descriptions. Look at the album art to see how that turned out . . .

The lads are raring to get hunting in Monster Hunter World, but we've kindly decided to take some time to chat about our early impressions of the game. We've roped in Muss (who you may have heard drunkenly chatting about monsters back on our previous project Guesstus Flask) to give a new player's perspective.
