This month we invited two Minneapolis rock bands and the similarities more or less end there. We were able to interview and hear tracks from Rhino Shrine, the psychedelic rockers, and The Montes, who feature more of an indie rock vibe.

In March we had bands Goodnight Gorillas and We Found Home in our studios to play some tunes and answer some questions about storytelling in music and the difficulties of distance.

In January we were able to have local bands Able Baker and Trevor Devine and the Immaculate Beings in our studio, talking to them about their common themes of self-reflection and vulnerability.

In December we were able to have solo artists Amy Leerae and Sophie Blue come in to our studios. We were able to learn more about what it's like being a solo artist in the Twin Cities and how to balance that with being a student at the University of Minnesota. And, of course, got to hear some songs played as well.

In November we were lucky enough to have rappers Lil Twink and Student 1 visit to perform some songs and tell us about their different approaches to the rap game.

Local rock bands Gully Boys and Unturned visited our studios back in October. They told us the struggles of balancing school and music, sharing a name with a "dad band," some crazy tour stories, and more.

Local rock band Denim Matriarch and hardcore band Wanderer visited Studio K back in September. They played some tunes, told stories about naked people, recording music while still in college, and more.

Local dream-pop bands Dreams We’ve Had and Love Sequence came into Studio K in August. Both bands have members attending the University of Minnesota. They performed some new and old songs and talked to us about their music and gave us a glimpse into the college music world.
