“Feels Like Birth Pains”. Your mind probably went to Matthew 24 where it talks about the signs of the times being like birth pains leading up to His return. While this is certainly possible, I see the possibility of 4 distinct paths just ahead. I won’t list them here, but you will hear them in detail this Sunday. My purpose is to bring you an encouraging word that will help you no matter which path God chooses for us. All 4 include repentance & revival, all will be life-changing and difficult, and all will end in the glory of the Lord. This is a time for the church to not be faint-hearted.

As unrest floods the headlines and voices clamor from every corner, it is good to know that God is not nervous nor surprised by any of the events that have us anxious. There are many questions about winning and losing, but I propose that we are not asking the right question. The right question is, what is God saying.

The message is titled “What The Church Needs Now”. As we sit on the edge of our seats, waiting to see what happens as the electoral votes are counted this Wednesday, we wonder what the future holds. The eyes of the nation and the eyes of the church look to Washington, D.C., but the eyes of heaven are upon the church.

There is something the enemy hates and works overtime to keep from the church. It is what the church needs most right now. Let’s talk

I will talk about how God sometimes strangely pauses in the middle of His work – we feel it now as we hang between 2020 and 2021. This strange phenomenon also happens in our personal lives, a sense that God is waiting, much like Christ waited after getting the news that Lazarus was sick.

For many, 2020 seems like a bad dream, and we are about to wake up, but we are stuck in that place between sleep and wake, as though something isn't quite finished. Let's explore the concept of "GOD IN THE IN-BETWEEN"

As we briefly look at three Christmas stories, we will see a common factor, the light of God. The birth of Jesus is a light that calls the entire earth to come look. When we draw closer to the light, the light becomes brighter.

The great expectation of God is that when the “Light” appears mankind would draw closer to the light. In this message we teach the “Principle of the Light”, If you move towards the light God will give you more light.

The message is titled “Waking Up In The Morning Sun”. As we approach the end of 2020, we feel the meaning of the hymn writers’ words “O come, O Bright and Morning Star, and bring us comfort from afar! Dispel the shadows of the night and turn our darkness into light.” The birth of Christ is illustrated in scripture as a sunrise after a long dark night.

Isn’t it wonderful that God created our world with a built-in illustration of hope – the sunrise! The word of God says His mercies are new every morning and He is the bright and morning star. In Revelation that face of Christ shines like the sun and His birth is the light of the world rising over those who dwell in darkness.

The Bible is loaded with this powerful illustration of hope. Let’s unpack it together

There is growing weariness in the hearts of many due to election chaos and Corona Virus reports. Wear masks or don't wear a mask; the virus is a joke; the virus is deadly. We know we have been lied to by almost everybody; we aren't sure where the lies end and the truth begins. The result is that we are exhausted and irritable. Trying to trust God, but some days that is difficult. With Christmas just a few weeks away, another layer of stress is added to our lives as we prepare for the holidays.

When we think about the desert, we probably get a picture of the poor guy crawling through the hot sand in the blazing sun, empty canteen with vultures circling overhead. Which ironically is how 2020 has felt most of the year.

But wait! God uses the desert! This Sunday, I want to show you that we are not in a nose dive plunging out of control into the hot sand, but instead, we are right where God wants us to be. The desert can be a beautiful place when it's God, who has led you there. Prepare to receive a cold drink of water

The message is titled “My Life Matters!”. As we go through 2020 with Covid and all our national turmoil, a growing concern is emerging. People are feeling a sense of hopelessness and impending doom. Younger generations are reporting more than ever before thoughts of suicide and anxiety. When you step back and look at the big picture, it is clear to see a sinister plot unfolding. The enemy of our souls is at work whispering lies that paralyze and abort the incredible human potential God has placed within each one of us.

This Sunday, we take our minds, emotions, and futures back from those who have lied to us.

I bring you the last message in the Storm Rider sermon series. The message is titled “Seven Thunders and the Kingdom of God.” 2020 has been a year of hurricanes, out of control fires, lawlessness, riots, Covid-19 plague, corruption, false prophets, and growing anger. Little wonder I’ve once again turned my eyes to the Book of Revelation.

In the 10th chapter, I find a very curious narrative. The trumpet judgments are ending, and the bowl judgments are about to begin. The voice of an angel shouts like the roar of a lion. Then we read the words, “When he shouted, the voice of the seven thunders spoke.” John was about to write down what the seven thunders said but was told to “seal up what the seven thunders have said.” What in the world is going on here? I love a mystery, and this is a good one.

The election hangs in the balance, another hurricane is about to hit America, and even though the violence on the streets has quieted down, there is tension in the air signaling the storm is not over.

Someone once said that time spent in front of a fire is never wasted; there is something incredibly fascinating about it. It can be warming and comforting, or it can be wild and out of control.

The Bible calls God a consuming fire and likens the judgment of God to fire. It also paints a picture of the presence of God like fire.

As I contemplated this message's direction, I sensed God saying that there is only a small difference between the fire of judgment and the fire of revival. In both cases, God consumes. In judgment, he consumes the wicked and cleanses the earth of evil. In revival, he consumes the wickedness of our hearts with the fire of His presence.

As America wrestles with who will be President, the storm clouds on the horizon grow blacker. A storm is coming—a storm of fire.
