Football Friday on an actual Friday has officially happened – let’s go! Matt Noonan and James Baker get you set for a BUSY weekend of New England D-III football, which finds three teams competing in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, while four other teams are set to take the field in the 2019 New England Bowl.

Coast Guard Academy football coach Bill George joined Matt Noonan for a brand new ‘Football Friday’ Podcast to discuss his retirement from the game, but also the impact the academy has made on him. Additionally, George shares what he hopes to do with his family going forward.

Middlebury College has a chance to wrap-up the NESCAC, Western New England can clinch the CCC, and Wesleyan faces Trinity in a rivalry game. Also, Saturday is a big day for both Amherst and Williams, too.

MIT football coach Brian Bubna joined the Noontime Sports ‘Football Friday Podcast’ for the second-straight week following the Engineers’ exciting double-overtime win last Saturday against WPI. 

Coach Bubna shares his thoughts on the win while discussing a few other subjects from the MIT’s last win over WPI in 1900 to a must-read book on a former Harvard University football coach to Matt Noonan’s wedding this weekend.

Bates College’s Malik Hall joins the Noontime Sports ‘Football Friday’ Podcast to discuss his first win with the program this past weekend against Bowdoin College. Hall shares what he and his team went through, both earlier this season and last year, with staying motivated (and focused) to crack the win column.

Hall and the Bobcats conclude their 2019 season on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 when they visit Hamilton College.

Matt Noonan has a few thoughts to share following an exciting ninth week of the New England D-III Football season, which saw MIT outlast WPI in double-overtime, Middlebury top Hamilton, and Western New England beat Endicott. Also, Dean’s offense exploded against Alfred State, while Framingham State and Bridgewater State each scored important wins, respectively.
