Have you needed to pivot? How have you pivoted, I'll tell you what I've done to generate new revenue streams during the year of change.
How many people choose a word that will define their coming year? Like focus or breakthrough or patients? Well, I think the word for last year 2020 should be pivot so many people, including myself did just that. So prior to COVID, I had a thriving in-person after school theater, arts drama club business for the past 13 years, this six figure business was solid, satisfying, and had been my baby for more than a decade. But in one fell swoop, my business was shut down. You see, our business model is such that we conduct all of our classes, our drama clubs on school campuses. So when the school shut down, so did my business, what a punch in the gut.
I kept waiting and hoping that this COVID thing would all be over in a few weeks and we could resume and get back to normal to finish out the school year. No such luck, not only were we shut down, but at the recording of this episode, there's still no end in sight. We continue to be at the school districts, mercy and what they deem appropriate and safe.
And I totally get it. I don't like it, but I get it. And so not one to sit around, waiting for things to get back to normal. I decided to pivot.
In this episode, I share with you the three things I did to pivot...and what you can do, too!
