There are times we get so busy that we don't stop to be grateful for what we have in our lives. We get into a routine that seems humdrum and we forget to take the time for appreciation. If you were to 'google' how to have an Attitude of Gratitude, you will come across an article in the Huffington post I loved that article - it says 'an attitude of gratitde means making it a habit to express thankfulness and appreciation in all parts of your life, on a regular basis, for both the big and small things alike. New York Times best selling author Lewis Howes writes extensively about cultivating a grateful mindset in his highly - inspirational book called The School of Greatness. Howe says "if you concentrate on what you have, you'll always have more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you'll never have enough" To get into the mindset of an 'Attitude of Gratitude' you need to develop a NEW habit - one that changes everything in your life. What I would recommend is a gratitude journal! You can wake up in the morning and write out 10-20 things you are grateful for or you can wait until the evening and write 10-20 incredible things you are grateful for that happened during your day. You can write about things you are grateful for...things that you are proud of and even things you are excited about. It takes 21 days to reprogram a habit..if you happen to be in the habit of focusing on the negative experiences in your life, it will take 21 days to transform that habit into a NEW ONE. We are like computers and are plugged into a mainframe - much like the movie the Matrix. We are programmed to think that life is a certain way and that there is nothing we can do about it. Well, there certainly is something we can do about it and a great start is being grateful....showing appreciation for what is in our life. Waiting for life to change around you is not a solution...YOU are the one that changes the daily practice - which will change your life. You have the power to change anything in your life. I am talking your health, your business, your home and even your love life. Being grateful for what is in your life now, will draw to you, the life you desire. What do I mean by that? You have a frequency about you - a vibration of your thoughts, and your feelings. Every experience and especially ever reaction, effects your vibration - it completely changes the frequency you are broadcasting to the world. Its your frequency that becomes a magnet and is drawing to you MORE experiences that match the vibration. Do you understand where I am going with this? Be grateful and broadcast an 'Attitude of Gratitude' and the Universe will send to you more things to be grateful for - a match to your vibration. I can tell you that having a gratitude journal has helped me so very much. I start every morning writing down things like: I am grateful for the beautiful sun. I am grateful that I can drive to the beach. I am grateful for seeing the beautiful cardinal in my garden. I am grateful for the time I spend walking my dog. I am sure you understand what I am talking about. The more you can think about what you are grateful for, the more you will remember what else you have to be grateful for. If you don't already listen to Abraham - Esther Hicks, I highly recommend listening to their recordings. You can find many of them on youtube - they are very inspirational - anyways, one process they recommend is to do a Rampage of Appreciation. You can do this any time during your day - simply look around where you are and focus on what you are grateful for. It is a fun process and one that raises your vibration very quickly. Do a Rampage of Appreciation when you feel yourself getting frustrated: - when you find yourself in a line up at the bank - when someone cuts you off while you are driving - when you are stuck in a traffic jam Basically, whenever you feel yourself getting upset - simply pivot your thoughts to looking for what you are grateful for. This will change your energy and raise your vibration - AND cancel out the negative energy of the lower vibration.
